Bioresorbable technology with a "Twist"

The OsteoMed Bioresorbable Fixation System is comprised of plates, meshes, screws, and instrumentation used for fixation in trauma and reconstructive procedures in the craniofacial skeleton. This material is produced from a mixture of 70% L -lactide and 30% DL-lactide with complete resorption occurring between 18 and 36 months, depending upon the metabolism of each patient.

• There is virtually no requirement for secondary surgical intervention
• It does not impede radiography
• It eliminates long term palpability
• Increased patient acceptance, there is a temporary versus permanent perception

Indicated for use in trauma and reconstructive procedures in the midface and craniofacial skeleton, including, but not limited to, comminuted fractures of the nasoethmoidal and infraorbital areas, comminuted fractures of the frontal sinus wall and midfacial fractures and reconstructive procedures of the midface or craniofacial skeleton.

*OsteoMed BioResorbable Fixation System Implants, templates, contour pen, drills and taps, and water bath liner are intended for single use only. All other system instruments and accessories are reusable.
